Okay, so I thought I might make another one of these things. Maybe it will spark some new writers to work within my Universe, or at least I have a place to put down my thoughts and ideas .

Let's start with the basics, the races that have currently been discovered.

Neko: two specific races within the species are the Fela and the Alta. There are very faint differences in fur and the structure of their ears and tails. Their heights average around two hundred feet (human measurements). They are the most widespread of all the races as well as being the original founders of the Alliance. The empire formed on Teralist during the early ages of space exploration was called the "Genro". They still refer to their own empire as the Genro Empire.

Marlek: The name Marlek applies to five separate species that emerged from four moons in orbit around the same planet. The first to become advanced of this species were the Trugon's and the Fanacta. Trugons take the appearance of an athro canine. The Fanacta coincidentally have the appearance of an anthro feline. Each race averages about 200 feet tall, similar to Nekos.

The next species is the Goonta, much smaller than the first two races they are a reptilian race that stands about twenty feet tall with large, long jaws similar to that of alligators here on earth. Apart from their fearsome appearance, and their capability to swallow a human whole even at their rather small size, they are a generally peaceful race. They showed next to no resistance to the two larger species that would eventually annex their moon into the greater Marlek empire.

On the third life bearing moon. The Tray'Ack formed.   They stand about forty feet tall on average, generally covered by a coat of reddish fur. They as well are bipedal creatures, but retain feet and tails similar to small primates here on Earth. In appearance their facial features include wide ears, and a much shorter snout than that of the Trugons. They would almost resemble what we think of a Red Panda here on earth.

Finally, the 5th Marlek species, the Veerol. is one that stands on average about 100 feet tall. While their powerful jaws might lead one to think they were predatory animals they are actually the first strict herbivore that came out as the dominant species of their planet. Their face and jaws are very similar to bears on Earth. They have thick fur coats that can range in a variety of colors. They tend to remain close to home as a culture, one of the few races that you will rarely see even in Hybrid civilizations.

Humans: I think you all know who these guys are. Our history would be identical to the real world until the spring of 2010, where the Marlek rebel government was first to reach our planet. For an in depth look into how this was for us you can read my "War for Earth" story and see ^^. We are currently the second smallest species of intelligent life ever discovered. This brings about all sorts of trouble. Human trafficking was a very big deal in the first two years following our discovery by the Alliance. We were often used as pets, slaves...or even delicacies for those who did not see our kind fit to live among the larger species as equals.

Humans were quickly liberated, however there are areas where life is tough for our small race...I will get to that later.

Noras: A race that was relatively advanced upon discovery by a wayward Nova Guard team, at the time consisting of three members. They stand at about 100 feet tall, making them about half the size of a full grown Neko. They are nearly human in appearance aside from a few big details. Firstly their skin color ranges in various shades of blue, from very light nearly light blues to very dark and purple in appearance. Their hair colors are even more varied, going from black, to blue, to green, nearly every color one can fathom. They have bioluminescent eyes that carry a white glow, though their pupils can still be vaguely visible beneath. Their ears grow long, almost elf like (I won't lie they were partially influenced by the appearance of Warcrafts Night Elfs).

What makes them particularly striking, however, compared to most species is the vast difference in size between male and females. The males actually stand about a foot taller than humans on average. Scientists are still puzzled as to why this particular species developed this way.

Tirthas: Another species, surprisingly discovered by two Nova Guards who also discovered the Noras, are the smallest known intelligent species. They are still mysterious to the scientific community, and because they stand about six inches on average, they are an extremely touchy matter. There is much debate as to how and even if they should be integrated into society. They are colorful creatures, and also the only known intelligent species that can use wings in order to fly. They are human in appearance, the color of their skin, hair and eyes are the only thing that can separate them physically...other than their minuscule size and wings.

They live underground mostly, their home moon is also extremely small and often very flat. They developed their very large cities and communities in underground cave systems, using tools and primitive technologies to create better living conditions for themselves. Their history is unknown.

Dharen: A somewhat mysterious species to most, the Dharen were relatively advanced at the time of their discovery by a Neko research team. Communication was picked up quickly between the two and trade lines were set up with the species that had just begun exploring their own solar system. However the Dharen remain almost exclusively inside of their own solar system, the general population often too tentative to venture into Neko, Marlek or Hybrid areas. However they are dealt with frequently inside of the scientific community. Their long lives make them stand out from most species...their maturity cycle takes nearly four times as long as that of Human or Neko. By the time they are forty (human years) in age, they have finally reached the end of their maturity cycle.

They stand about the same height as Neko, and in appearance they are mostly humanoid. Their skin ranges from light gray to completely black. As they grow older the males and females grow horn like growths upon their forehead, often interpreted as a sign of fertility. Their eyes are black except for a circular section around the pupil which can range in color. As of late fertility rates in their females have been dropping in troubling numbers, however their race can adapt to take in DNA of other similar species and use to create offspring. This is a top reason for the Dharens recent attempt to spread their population into Hybrid areas.

(this list will grow with time. I just wanted a specific document to list out all the species)
Here are the species list that I have so far. Expect more species to be added over time.

Ginbug, I love the universe that you have created, truely a rich and diverse setting (might make for a cool MMO!) I couldn't help but notice that almost all of your races seem to be feline based tho. Surely there must a history behind the human myths and legends of Lycans? perhaps they are ennemies of the Nekos or would that be a little too "Twilight" for you ^_^

As an aside, I noticed that you used Neko to describe the cat races is this from research or another source? I ask because I have been having a long running discussion with my friend about the correct name for them Dog people are called Lycans but cat people just seem to be called cat-persons. The only other reference I could come acros was a Rhakshasa which was a humanoid cat, I don't know if there is any difference between a cat-person or a human-cat
